Christmas Services

We had a wonderful Town Carol Service organised by Denzil and Angela, Shirley and Ralph at the beginning of December which raised £517 towards the Town Band and the Church Lighting Fund.
Good congregations came out for Christmas Eve, to attend the Sunday Club's best ever Nativity Service. The small lamb will not be forgotten as it bleated with perfect timing. Mary and Joseph with his benignant smile on an otherwise serious face, and the converted donkey on wheels were something to delight in. Midnight Mass was well attended with no interruptions and many families together, with Christmas busily active for the parish priest, and a St Stephen's day low Mass before he could relax with his family with the traditional roasted goose at Blagrove with his daughter son and wife and five grandchildren.

We pray that everyone will have a good and Peaceful and prosperous New Year.

Harvest at Holsworthy Church

The Harvest Celebration at Holsworthy Church will be on October 14th at 11am. There will be a bring and share lunch with no tickets, and donations to Harvest gifts and lunch as you leave the Church. The Preacher will be Mr Charles Cornish, Lay Reader and Historian of Holsworthy.

On the Feast of Christ the King we are hoping to have a visit from Bishop David again, who will celebrate and Preach.

Bishop Andrew of Ebbesfleet is hoping to join us next year to Bless the Pretty Maid of Holsworthy. These are forward arrangements and we will let you know details nearer the Time.

We have been advised by the local police to stay locked pro. tem., as the attempted thief has not been found and may strike again. Keys are with the Key holders, including myself as Rector, and at Woolacott's Store in the Square in Holsworthy. Please bear with us at this time. We are trying to find volunteers to join a rota to man the Church when it can be left open.
